YOU ARE PART OF WE

The soul of kashif

Kashif, which means to uncover or reveal in Arabic, was the name of our friend and brother in storytelling, Bobby Kashif Cox. A gentle lion who created stories with characters who explored fear, courage, vulnerability, and integrity.

Bobby Kashif made us laugh, cry, rage, and most of all love. We are building on the quiet persistence of a young man who imagined with his whole heart and lived in the revolution of words. May we always meet you in the magic.

“The function of the artist is to do more than tell it like it is — it’s to imagine what is possible.”

The heart of kashif

Love. Integrity. Faith. Equanimity. These are our guiding principles. We are storytellers who imagine with our whole hearts. We have a deep understanding that the only way for us to be able to do this work is through our own self-care, growth, curiosity, and exploration.

We are Kashif. And you are a part of we.

A REVOLUTION OF WORDS

Words are powerful tools of creation. Building on the lexicon established by BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and disabled communities (intersectionality, ableism, GOAT, my bad, shade), Kashif is creating alternate terminology that relieves us from the violent and oppressive film and workplace language pervasive today. Since language is continually evolving, shaping a new vocabulary that is equitable, non-threatening, and intentional involves us all -- we invite you to try the following cultural shifts.
